Palestine Online Store

Palestine Online Store is honored to be the exclusive online source for acquiring authorized Ismail Shammout and Tamam Al-Akhal prints. The late Ismail Shammout needs no introduction (see my article about him; link is on the right margin), and his wife Tamam is also a brilliant and renowned artist. The prints are acquired from Tamam, after she gets them printed under careful supervision in Germany and frames them herself.

Shammout and Al-Akhal's art tells the story of the Palestinian people and is a timeless piece of Palestine for your home.

The listed prints are what we currently have in stock. Special orders can be accepted, but could take as long as 6 months to fulfill and could cost around 50% more.

Shipping & Handling: A flat-fee of $6.00 is added to all orders (for the entire order); for international orders, there is an additional shipping surcharge, reflected in the "international orders" price.

Ismail Shammout Victory Dance

Gaza
Due to his wife's care and support, Shammout was able to carry on with his work and continue painting up until his very last days. Sadly, his last days were troubled by the intensified siege and destruction of Gaza. This is one of his latest pieces, featuring a Palestinian man with his arms wide open, as though crucified. In the background, a donkey and cart seem to express signs of perseverance, rebuilding, and hope.

- The print itself measures 8.75" x 11.25"; after framing 13.25" x 16"
- Framed in a basic dark brown frame, by the artist's wife
- International orders shipped by Express (3-5 days plus any customs delay)

Shammout and Al-Akhal: A Song for the Olives

Red Poppies of Palestine
Arist's statement: Beautiful poppy flowers dominate the Palestinian landscape in the spring. Their vivid color inspires us and gives us hope. The Israeli occupiers systematically destroy our land and our trees in an attempt to uproot our hopes and squelch our dreams. Nevertheless, spring will come, and the poppies will bloom again, and so too will our dreams.

- The print itself measures 11.25" x 15.5"; after framing 16" x 20"
- Framed in an elegant chocolate brown frame, by the artist
- International orders shipped by Express (3-5 days plus any customs delay)
