Ammar Hasan
Ammar
Hasan is "the Palestinian Superstar."
He was a semi-finalist in the Middle Eastern
version of "American Idol."
In
his words, "I feel a great responsibility
upon my shoulders, in trying to represent
my great country
At the time of my
success in the second round of SuperStar
in Beirut; I was not enthusiastic enough
to keep on going, because of the hardship
that my fellow country men are living in,
and there might be a possibility where they
will be unable to support me. Although from
the strong support that I had received from
Palestinians within Palestine, and from
all over the world, as well from my fellow
Arabs, I am filled with the utmost joy every
time I succeed to enter a new round. I am
so delighted by all the emails that I received
from within Palestine, from chat groups,
and when I had been welcomed with open arms
at the Palestinian camps in Lebanon. It
was then that I felt of the great responsibility
that I held to represent Palestine in this
show."
Famous
composers, such as Ahmad Kaabour,
were astonished by Ammar's remarkable voice
and charisma. The renowned Wadee El-Safi
was dumbfounded at how well Ammar sang his
song Ya Bni. These are signs
that Ammar has a sparkling career ahead
of him. "Hilm Ikbeer," which means
"Big Dream" is his debut album. |
