Huda Ghalia: "What Are You Going To Do?"

This poster is a Palestinian appeal for the people of the world to take urgent action against the continuation of Israel's atrocities against the Palestinian population, especially the daily attacks against Gaza.

Huda Ghalia's seven family members were killed by sudden Israeli shelling on Friday, June 9th, 2006, while having a picnic on the beach in Gaza. Israel justifies such war crimes under the pretext of "security," and these crimes continue with the blessing and support of the U.S. government.

We Shall Return
This poster features a land deed dated September 18, 1941 set in black. The deed is for 28 Dunums of land in the Yaffa district. This piece of land, along with another 87% of Palestinian land, was expropriated by Israel in the ethnic cleansing that began in 1947.

Since three quarters of Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from the land by the Zionists, the Israeli state transferred title of these lands to itself (the state of Israel) and the Jewish National Fund through a series of laws, the most notable being the "Absentee Property Law" of 1950. Many Palestinian families forced off their land and out of their houses kept their land deeds, as well as the keys to their houses (even though many of these homes, and often entire villages, were raised to the ground). One such key is the central image in the poster.

In green there is map of Palestine, the land to which all Palestinian refugees have the right to return and a right to have our land returned to us. At the top of the poster is a red Kufiyeh, a symbol of Palestinian resistance to dispossession, occupation and apartheid.

Israel Targets Children
A poster produced by the American Educational Trust, asserting that the Israeli Occupation Forces do intentionally target Palestinian children. In fact, Israeli soldiers have gunned down more than 400 Palestinian children during the past 3 years, often using snipers. The poster honors 14 year-old Faris Odeh in a modern day David vs. Goliath situation, where he fearlessly confronted an Israeli tank. Faris was shot in the neck by Israeli soldiers a few days later.

50 Years of Palestinian Dispossession
This poster shows two year-old Mohammed Abu-Swai standing on the rubble of his home and crying. His family was woken up by the Israeli Occupation Forces at night and given only minutes to vacate their home before a bulldozer demolished it.
